Matt serves at the firm’s Chief Investment Officer.  He oversees the firm’s private offerings as well as the funds invested in the Wealth Management division. He has overseen investment for over $450 million in real estate projects in the Oregon and Southwest Washington area as well as VergePointe Capital’s investments made into many different businesses in the United States and Canada.

Currently, Matt is the Board Chair at William Henry and Tanner Goods (McMinnville, OR), as well as a board member of Allstar Magnetics (Vancouver, WA), Impact Electronic Solutions (which includes subsidiaries ESAM (Grants Pass, OR), Silicon Forest Electronics (Vancouver, WA), EEI Manufacturing Services (Clearwater, Florida) and Bay Computer Associates (Cranston, Rhode Island).  He is also on the board and serves as President for Lake Oswego Youth Lacrosse.

He also formerly served on the board at Herbers Auto Body (Edmonton, Canada).  He was an observer to the board at Snapware Corporation (Ontario, CA).  He previously served on the Board of Trustees for Linfield University (McMinnville, OR).  He was a member of the Providence Medical Systems of Oregon Planned Giving Advisory Board and was also a member of the St. Andrew Legal Clinic “Taste For Justice” wine benefit auction advisory committee.  He also served as the Vice-Chair of the Executive Board of the North Pacific Conference of the Covenant Church, Vice-Chair of the Linfield University Business Advisory Council and was a member of the Linfield University Alumni Council.

Matt graduated with honors from Linfield University and is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as well as a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP^®). In addition, he has received the Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) designation.  He was also designated as one of Portland Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40”.

Outside of work, he resides in Lake Oswego, OR and is a husband to his wife and a father to his three children. He is a better fly fisherman than a golfer but enjoys both activities.
